Panama Team In Two Weeks Make Incredible Progress

Posted in Road Journal

Some may have thought it difficult, if not impossible, but the Panama Missions Building Team finished almost all of the major block laying on the forth floor of the Jehovah Jireh L.A.C.C. school. The height above ground level make this is by far the most difficult part of this construction project.

The areas where materials are lift up to the floors is all that is left on the exterior walls.

The areas where materials are lifted up and through to the floors is all that is left on the exterior walls to be blocked.

An incredible part of this job is working with our friends, Rod and Sherry Boyd. Their desire and ability to work with the local Panamanian churches and then matching the abilities of multiple work crews from the U.S. is essential.

After the PCC departs, the Jehovah Jireh church will continue to invest money and time into finishing any remaining portions of walls, and install electrical and plumbing. Their goal now is to finish enough classrooms and office space to move the students and administration from a rented building. This will ultimately allow the monies fo rent they would have needed to pay to be invested in construction of even more classrooms.  A Win Win.

It was a hot and humid two weeks. After we all rest for a month we would probably go back in a heartbeat. It is truly a passion of ours, to take our skills and build a school that will house nearly 800 students. Each of the students who will attend this L.A.C.C. school at Jehovah Jireh will be given an education that will give them opportunities in life their families may have thought as impossible.

This sums it up.

I want to thank the Boyds for today’s images, but most importantly, for inviting PCC to be one of the teams to help on this project. Way to go! And to each family member, friend, and business associate of the team members, thanks for letting us go to Panama, for your support, and for your prayers. We couldn’t do it without  you.
