Monday, July 4, we will explore the Ape Caves in Cougar, WA followed by a picnic and games. Encounter will provide pulled pork/chicken sandwiches. Bring a side dish and join us for a cool, refreshing fun day.

Meet at the church at 10:00 AM for those who want to car pool. Otherwise, meet at Noon at the Ape Caves. We will be done at the Ape Caves and picnic and return back to the church by about 7:00 PM.

Please RSVP and let us know in the comments if you are car pooling or meeting us at the Ape Caves AND what you are bringing for a side dish.

WHAT TO BRING

1. Ticket for 1:00 Time Slot (see important notice below)
2. Be prepared to pay $5 for a parking Pass at the Ape Cave
3. Bring a headlamp or flashlight to carry with you
4. Bring a light jacket
5. Side dish

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Each Car must have a ticket for a timed Slot. There are tickets available for the 1:00 Time Slot so IF you are planning to go to the Ape Caves, either get a ticket for your self or, better yet, carpool with someone and get a ticket to cover that car and all the people who will be in it.  

1. You must get the ticket at www.recreation.gov so you will need to get a log in for the site.
2. Get the ticket for the 1:00 time slot on July 4th (only 29 slots are left)
3. The ticket is ‘free’ but there is a $2 fee to get the ticket
4. Take a screen shot picture of the ticket on your phone to show them when you get there. You likely won’t have cell reception
