Fall Season at Portland Christian Center

We have a variety of opportunities for everyone to grow in their faith and have fun in community this fall. This means going beyond weekend worship gatherings—to enjoy connecting with others and participating in new ways. Whether you are a parent, senior adult, youth or child, there is a place for you to belong on Sundays and throughout the week all season long!

Faith Builders

Sunday | 9:00 AM | Chapel
Faith Builders is a discipleship class for adults of all ages. We meet Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM discipleship hour and invite you to join us! Come make new friends, find encouragement and support, experience a variety of study topics, guest speakers, service projects, sharing, praying—and we have fun too! Most importantly, Faith Builders is a place to grow deeper in God’s Word and mature your Christian faith.

Intercessory Prayer

Sundays | 9:30-9:55 AM | Sanctuary
We believe that a prayerless church is a powerless church, so we have strategically built in time to pray each week as a church body. You are invited to join us for a time of intercession every Sunday morning.

Generous: Teaching Series

November Sunday Series | 10:30 AM Morning Gathering

In Acts chapter 2 we see the birth of the Church. People who responded to the Gospel and gave their lives to Jesus, came together to become the body of Christ—the Church.

One of the most stunning attributes of the early Church was how they joined together. They ate together, prayed together, worshipped together, and lived generously together! Generosity was never meant to be a solo act and this series will inspire all of us to reexamine our generosity and grow in generously together. At PCC, we are not only better together, but we are generous together.

Japanese Fellowship Church

Sunday | 10:30 AM | Room 228
Experience the love and grace of God in Japanese! Join Pastor Hiro Noda and the Japanese Fellowship Church at Portland Christian Center for an all-Japanese worship service! Japanese Fellowship Church welcomes anyone who knows Japanese or is interested in Japanese worship and Bible experience. Our children and youth integrate into our services and are also welcome at any of the ministries at Portland Christian Center.

Young Marrieds

Sunday | 9:00 AM | Room 230
Congratulations! We are excited for you as a young couple, newly engaged or married! You are welcome to come and meet other young couples who are just starting their journey together too. Join Mike and Missy Jones for a marriage series designed to help you learn practical ways to honor God’s plan in your relationship.

Young Adults Co-ed Group

Tuesday | 7:00 PM | Hospitality Center
Are you out of high school and looking for what’s next? If so, come and meet other post high school (18-29) adults who are looking to grow in their faith as well. This co-ed group, led by Rick and Sherri Bernheisel, has a lot of fun building strong friendships, learning about the Christian faith, and how to develop in personal leadership.

Encounter: Singles

Friday | 7:00 PM | Chapel
We are a community group of 30s and 40s committed to growing in Christ and growing together. We do this by studying God’s Word and applying it through practical means including small groups, service projects, and serving the needs of others. Our group is also committed to having fun! There are many game nights, scheduled and impromptu events throughout the year as we get to know each other! We strive to provide a safe environment where we are loved and challenged to grow—equally, using both truth and grace. We want to help you to thrive and fulfill God’s purposes in your life.

Child Dedication

Sunday | October 16 & December 18 | 10:30 AM Gathering
Child Dedication is an opportunity for you as a parent to publicly declare your intent to raise your child in a way that honors God. This declaration can cultivate an opportunity as your child grows to eventually have a personal relationship with Jesus. It is also a time for family, friends, and the church body to agree and partner with you by speaking life, love and lots of Jesus into your growing family. We celebrate your decision during a Sunday morning gathering through prayer and encouragement.

Better Together Adult Series
September 21 – November 9 | 7:00 – 8:30 PM

Over the last few years, many of us have experienced difficult situations. In light of this, we understand that God has called all of us to be more than conquerors in Christ Jesus! So, how can we do this well in this season after all we have been through? We believe God is calling all of us to come together on Wednesday nights as a family to bring care, vision, and unity to one another.

Please come Wednesday nights with your heart open for this new, exciting, and powerful season. One of the primary topics Pastors Nate and Miel will cover is how “people are the prize” as they personally share what is on their hearts for this season ahead and lean in to God’s heart for people. Moving forward, let’s be praying for fresh compassion, strategy, and love to reach our beautiful city of Portland, each other, and the world with the life transforming love of Jesus. God sent His Son to die for people! If He cares that much, so will we!
