Starting Point
Week 1–4 | Sundays at PCC
Starting Point is your next step in getting to know Portland Christian Center. Week one begins with our Pizza with the Pastors meet and greet, and the next two weeks are our Essentials and Discovery classes for those new to PCC and/or new to faith in Jesus. We also offer a Baptism class and a water baptism opportunity on the fourth Sunday of every month for those wanting to take the next step in their walk with the Lord.

Sisterhood Spring Social

Join us as we spend the morning honoring all women… so bring your gal pals, mama, sister, grandma, or neighbor as we take time to honor all the special women in our lives. Registration is encouraged and only $15 for brunch and a little Sisterhood gift. Pastor Miel will be sharing a special message so you won’t want to miss it!
Man Camp
May 19–21 | Rock Creek Reservoir
If you want a fun-filled weekend of adventure and fellowship, sign up now for Man Camp. You can expect canoeing, kayaking, archery, fishing, hiking, campfires, good eats, worship, biblical teaching, and much more! This is an ALL-MEN event! So bring your friends, neighbors, the Bro, and your sons. Man Camp will be an event you won’t want to miss!
Early Bird cost is $45 and ends April 16 with late registration at $55. All campers over 16 need a Background Check Authorization and registration for all ages is required.

Over this four week series, we will discuss what it looks like to flourish in the kingdom of God. As you will discover, “the ME” is actually becoming who God has designed you to be.
Romans: Teaching Series

Japanese Fellowship Church

Experience the love and grace of God in Japanese! Join Pastor Hiro Noda and the Japanese Fellowship Church at Portland Christian Center for an all-Japanese worship service! Japanese Fellowship Church welcomes anyone who knows Japanese or is interested in Japanese worship and Bible experience. Our children and youth integrate into our services and are also welcome at any of the ministries at Portland Christian Center.

Young Adults Co-ed Group

Are you out of high school and looking for what’s next? If so, come and meet other post high school (18-29) adults who are looking to grow in their faith as well. This co-ed group, led by Rick and Sherri Bernheisel, has a lot of fun building strong friendships, learning about the Christian faith, and how to develop in personal leadership.

Come and learn at our Technical Workshop with Pastor Jon Haarstad and Media and IT Manager Tyler Bernheisel. You will learn basic computer skills, how to navigate social media, scam avoidance, and much more. This workshop is geared to novice as well as experienced users. The car hike was awesome, and it is back again! Grab a few friends as we race around a nearby city for a one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt competition–all while upholding the law. We’ll gather at the church at 10:00 AM and take off from there.

We will be launching our new study: Lioness Arising by Lisa Bevere. This will be a six-week series and a fun little snippet for you… If you haven’t had a chance to experience Lisa’s teaching, she’s dynamic, relatable, and transparent, and will challenge us as women to find purpose in life and use it to change the world. The image of a lioness was chosen to illustrate the courage, power, strength, and fearless life we are capable of living. It won’t be the same without you!

Students, grades 6–12, come and meet each week for the PDX YTH gathering. It’s a time devoted to you, our teenagers, where you can encounter God, make friends, grow together, and make a difference in the world. You can join us as early as 6:00 PM in the Gym for sports or just come to hang out.

We are passionate about presenting deep Biblical truth in fun and creative ways kids will love! On Sunday mornings, your kids will have a blast making new friends and learning God’s Word from funny skits, exciting games and amazing Bible teaching. With a dynamic mixture of large group and small group times, every Sunday morning is packed with fun interaction and personal connections, creating an atmosphere where your kids can experience God in a way they never will forget.
“Own It” Class (5th grade)

In this class, teachers Anita and Bob Vinje take take 5th graders on a journey to discover the essential knowledge of the truths of the Bible. They will begin their morning in kids church and then be dismissed for their very “own” class, preparing them emotionally and spiritually for the journey of middle school.

You can know that your littles are receiving age appropriate Bible Bible basics they can build on. They will also enjoy stories, crafts, songs and fun play while you enjoy your Sunday morning.
Child Dedication Sunday

A Child Dedication service is an opportunity for you as parents to publicly declare your intent to raise your child in a way that honors God and also give the child the opportunity to eventually have a personal relationship with Jesus. It’s also a time for family, friends, and the church body here at Portland Christian Center to say we will partner with you, and speak life, love and lots of Jesus into your growing family.

Our purpose is to disciple, develop Godly friendships, and discover our gifts.
• 6:15-7:00 PM: Jr. Bible Quiz
• 7:00-8:15 PM: Rangers & Girls Ministries — we will have a time of Bible Basics, a hands-on Bible project, snack and small group time.
• 8:15-8:30 PM: Kids Worship — elementary kids K-5 grade will be meeting in the Family Center for corporate praise and worship with Director Kaeluree Nelson.
