In John 4, Jesus is talking to a Samaritan woman. This was seen as improper for two big reasons. Jews don’t talk with Samaritans and a Rabbi would not be alone talking with a woman. Yet Jesus shows His love for this woman and for all of us by revealing what true worship looks like. Many people don’t realize that, according to scripture, God actually rejects worship that is done incorrectly. He teaches us that worship is no longer about physical location, but a work of God in our hearts through the Holy Spirit and expressed through faith. This week’s message taught us that: God accepts worship expressed through: “Spirit and Truth by Faith.”
