Faith Promise Commitment

If you would like to partner with us in our missions efforts here at Portland Christian Center, and have not yet made a Faith Promise commitment, you may do at the link below. Thank you for being a part of sharing God’s love across the street, and around the world!

At Portland Christian Center we have prayed, “Lord, make us the greatest conduit for the Great Commission the world has ever seen.” We pray this prayer not because we think we are so great, but we know God is that great. He has set our hearts on fire to be Kingdom Builders. We have purposed our efforts to extend God’s love by Sending, Doing, and Going through special projects and missions across the street and around the world.

Serve Portland

For Portland Metro Area

We have several ways we can Present Hope to a lost, lonely, and hurting community. We will literally be His hands and feet  by serving in our local community.

Do you have a heart to work with the homeless, serve food to the needy, or maybe something more “behind the scenes” like painting, yard work, stocking shelves, cleaning, or even babysitting for single parents?

If that is you, come with us as we partner with local mission organizations to help spread the Love of God, Present Hope, and Develop People (you may find the person that grows the most is you, the one serving, not the one you are serving).

Ministries

Kingdom Builders supports 100+ missionaries and ministries either through monthly support or special projects throughout the year. Each one of these ministries has an amazing and unique story that we want you to be a part of. To learn more about the ministries we support and to subscribe to updates click the button below.

Overseas Missions

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Jesus gave his Church a mandate to go and reach the world. We encourage every believer to go on a short term missions trip at least once in their life.

Pregnancy Resource Center

The Pregnancy Resource Centers help women and teens who are unprepared for pregnancy. We help to meet their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, enabling them to choose life. We are working to make short-term and long term solutions to the epidemic of crisis pregnancies. Providing appropriate services in times of crisis, as well as educational programs aimed at prevention, helps to facilitate that goal. Therefore, we provide abstinence education to singles, public schools, community and church youth groups and we provide an opportunity for healing and restoration to those who have been hurt by abortion through our HEART (Healing Encouragement for Abortion-Related Trauma) program. Since 1984 PRC has helped more then 70,000 women and families.

Urban Initiative

After spending seven years as missionaries in Dublin, Ireland, we moved to Portland, Oregon to plant a church. Two years into our journey we realized that planting a church in urban Portland needed a different approach than the traditional Sunday morning gathering. This time, focused on being “missionaries to our neighborhood”, we started an initiative called “Community Dinners.”

We quickly realized that many people have this same missions calling to urban areas as we do, but it may look differently to the people they are called to. That’s when we started Urban Initiative which is a covering for people who are missions-minded towards their neighborhood or a sub-culture of Portland. They are empowered to plant an “initiative” uniquely designed for the people they deeply love and feel God’s drawing towards. With our eyes fixed on the urban core of Portland, we envision dozens of creative and life-changing initiatives lead by local missionaries who seek for transformations in the neighborhoods and places they do life.

Royal Family Kids

Each summer, Portland Christian Center directs a local camp for children in foster care in Multnomah county. We also host an annual Christmas party each year and maintain contact and relationship with each of our kiddos throughout the year.

The mission of Royal Family KIDS is to have 100,000+ foster children in our camps & mentoring clubs, and to change lives with the effective demonstration of compassion and unconditional love.

  • We offer foster children a life-changing experience through summer camps & mentoring clubs
  • We enlist and train churches across America each summer on how to launch and sustain their local camps & mentoring clubs.
  • We provide ongoing support services for existing camps & mentoring clubs
