INTRODUCING…

Pastor Nate & Miel Lindseth

The Board of Deacons is pleased to recommend Pastor Nate Lindseth of Richland, Washington, as the candidate for consideration for Portland Christian Center’s next Lead Pastor. As a Board, we have invested many hours over several months in conversation, interviews, meetings, and prayerful consideration with Nate and Miel. They have gained our confidence and unanimous approval with their highly relational approach to ministry, warm and engaging style, depth of Biblical wisdom, and their demonstrated leadership experience in pastoral ministry.

Pastor Nate currently serves as an Associate Pastor at LifeChurch7 in Richland, Washington where he has served since 2014. Prior to LifeChurch7, Nate and Miel served in youth, young adult and campus pastor roles in several churches throughout Washington state.

Nate grew up in a pastor’s home in the Seattle area and graduated from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, in 2005, with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. Nate was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 2007 and earned a Master’s degree in Church Leadership from Evangel University (Springfield, Missouri) in 2009.

Nate is a gifted communicator and encourager with a passion to equip, empower, and release people in to ministry. His interests include coaching his son’s sports teams, outdoor activities, and reading. He celebrates his 40th birthday on July 5th.

Nate and Miel have been married for 14 years and have two sons: Titus, who is 10 years old, and Tate, who is 7 years old.

Miel (pronounced “my-el”) grew up in the Seattle area and attended New Life Renton. She graduated from Northwest University with a Bachelor’s degree in General Ministries in 2009 and was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 2011. Miel is a gifted speaker and organizer with a passion for leadership development, prayer, and women’s ministry. Her interests include horseback riding, running, exercise and activities with the family.

We asked Pastor Nate what makes him enthusiastic about serving as Portland Christian Center’s next Lead Pastor.

“For years, it has been in our hearts to be lead pastors in a local church that presents the life changing love of Jesus Christ. We have been blessed to learn more about Portland Christian Center and have thoroughly enjoyed our time with your Board during this process. With each visit, our love and vision for the church and the city of Portland has continued to grow. We are both excited to see what God has in store for Portland Christian Center. We feel blessed and honored to be recommended for this role.”  – Pastor Nate

Nate’s father, Pastor Wes Lindseth, and his uncle, Pastor Bob Lindseth, are both pastors in the Northwest Ministry Network (Assemblies of God). The Lindseth family has a long legacy of ministry in the Pacific Northwest and the Assemblies of God with four generations of pastors. Many people at Portland Christian Center may be familiar with Nate’s cousin, Shaya Lindseth, a missionary serving in Ethiopia, who has served as an active volunteer and member of Portland Christian Center.

Update: February 20, 2022

Thank you for your continued support and prayers during this important transition for our church. We are confident that God is continuing to lead us forward. At the start of this process, we selected qualities that we would be looking for in our next senior pastor which you can see below.

“In Him you are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
Ephesians 2:22 ESV

HeIlo Church Family!

We are moving forward together with one heart toward our fulfillment of Jesus’ great commission for His church! Together, we seek to be faithful in our calling to make disciples, be a people of prayer and the Spirit, and be salt and light in our city.

As interim pastor Bill Wilson exhorted us on Sunday, let us unite together in prayer, purpose, partnership, and process as we seek the Lord’s direction for our next lead pastor.

We want to update you as to where we are in the process as of today. As mentioned in our May 25th email, we have posted the Lead Pastor position on the Oregon Ministry Network website (Oregon Assemblies of God). Posting here allows for national exposure of the opening.

We are in the early stages of gathering applications and taking the first steps to review applications and communicate with candidates.

As your board, we are committed to our membership and a process led by the Holy Spirit. We have a clearly defined process in place and you will be hearing more from us in the coming weeks.

Throughout this process, we are uniting around Ephesians 2:22 as our theme. We will grow together as a church family, being built together as a dwelling place for His Spirit.

If you have any questions or input, there are several ways to communicate with us:

Email: PCC-Board@pcctoday.com
Mail: Attn: PCC Board, Portland Christian Center, 5700 SW Dosch Rd, Portland, OR 97239

Thank you for your partnership in prayer as we seek God’s direction for the future leadership at Portland Christian Center.
Sincerely,

PCC Board of Deacons
