Palm Sunday is a day to celebrate the arrival of the King. A prophecy over 500 years old has come true. Jesus arrives riding on a donkey and the people rejoice! One of the most powerful points from this text is that this is the first time He publicly announces that He is the one they have been waiting for. He is the “Son of David”. The King has come! This brings hope to all, because often times when we have to wait for long periods of time, we can lose hope. Palm Sunday reminds us that we can have hope because Jesus has come! He is the King and Savior of the world. The one we have been waiting for. So, the question must be asked, is He the Lord of your life? “Unless Jesus is Lord of all, He is not Lord at all.”
