We find ourselves in a culture that confuses authenticity with being unfiltered. In an effort to “say it like it is” or “I am just being real” many Christians have forgotten that our words are like bricks. You can build up or crash down… it’s how they are used that matters. Psalms 34 teaches us that if you want to build a life you will love, your words actually play a huge role in determining if that happens or not. If you want to see good days and live a long life… guard your tongue! Speaking life is more than just a nice idea… it is the building blocks to the life God ended you to live.
