Our Mission

Young Adults is a place to encounter God, be transformed by His Word, and live out our calling in everyday life. We do this by walking together in authentic faith and building relationships that reflect Christ’s love. We strive to encourage each other to live out the gospel, pursue our given talents, develop our gifts, and live boldly. This is a generation that will impact our city, country, and the world. We will live on mission, share Jesus boldly, serve compassionately, and make disciples wherever we go. We do this in full context to Love God, Present Hope, and Develop People.

Why We Gather

Life is better together. We come together weekly to share honest conversations, navigate real challenges, and celebrate victories. Life is meant to be accountable, shared, and encouraged through authentic relationships. Come experience Spirit-led worship, Biblical teaching, and transformation. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, rediscovering Jesus, or looking for deeper relationship, you belong.

Young Adults is a group for ages 18-29. If you have just graduated High School, single, married, or have kids, we want to connect with you. Whether you want to connect with people your age, build new friendships, or looking for mentorship through life, this is your opportunity.

Meet OurYoung Adults Pastor

Rick Bernheisel serves as an Executive Pastor of Generosity, Young Adults and Missions at Portland Christian Center. He is passionate about helping people live generously with their time, talents, and resources as they partner with God’s mission locally and globally. Rick provides strategic leadership to the church while investing deeply in the next generation through the Young Adults ministry—a place to encounter God, be transformed by His Word, and live out our calling in everyday life. Under his leadership, Young Adults walk together in authentic faith, build relationships that reflect Christ’s love, and boldly live out the gospel. Rick’s heart is to see a generation rise up to impact their city, nation, and world as they love God, present hope, and develop people.
